The Garden Route is enormous. You could spend five months there and still not see everything. But in five days, we can see the highlights without rushing around like lunatics.

We can be in the right places at the right times, avoid unnecessary queues, eat at good restaurants and actually enjoy the journey rather than constantly watching the clock.

In fact, if I were putting together my ideal South African trip, I’d do three days in Cape Town, five days on the Garden Route, fly to Johannesburg from Port Elizabeth, where we’ll drop you off, and then spend a few days in Kruger.
